Day 18. Traveling β it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller
Day 18, Rode from Coldfoot Camp back to North Pole AK… Good to be back on the grid with internet. Today the weather was clear and warm. The roads were ok, not great. Thankfully crossing the Yukon River was easy as the wooden deck bridge was dry !! In Alaska there are two seasons, winter and Road Repair… We are beat up, dirty and tried… the bikes really needed a good wash and Tammy and Jerry also did their “wash” at the car wash. In no way am I saying I am unhappy, just a little tired.. been on the road for 18 days and rode everyone except one when we have the bikes serviced.
We rode the Dalton end to end two times… Many stories to tell.. a trip of a life time.
I would like to thank Gina for all the work she is doing for us while we are riding… She has been a real trooper dealing with the time changes staying up late nights. Gina has been following road reports, fire reports and booking our hotels. She started out with us in Key West but had to stay behind for family matters. Hopefully she will meet us next week in Edmonton and ride back to Key West… right now we are dealing with a road “wash out” and the fires in Jasper NP… On a trip this long you always have to make adjustments…
Congrats Guys…. Jack & Myriam
